The Space:
Enter the apartment into a carpeted open-plan living/dining area with a comfy 3-seater sofa and an occasional chair, a ‘Smart’ TV’, a dining setting for 4 people and tower fan. This living space flows through to the kitchen, well-equipped with a dishwasher, induction cooktop, under-bench oven and microwave. Large glass sliding doors off the living area lead out to a long balcony with harbour views and tables/seating for 4 people. The apartment has 2 carpeted bedrooms, both with queen sized beds, vertical blinds to control the light flow and tower fans. The master bedroom offers a large mirrored wardrobe with plenty of storage space (to service both bedrooms) as well as a cane chair, while the second bedroom has its own glass sliding doors which lead out on to the balcony. There’s a fully-renovated bathroom/laundry with a clear glass framed shower recess, washing machine and clothes rack for indoor drying. There’s also an outdoor clothes line around the back of the building if preferred.
Please bear in mind the apartment is up 2 flights of stairs with no elevator, so it’s not suitable for guests with mobility issues.
Please note there is building construction work going on nearby which can be quite noisy during the day, so the apartment is currently ideal for guests who will mainly be using it at night. For this reason, we are offering a 10% discount for the duration of the construction work.
Also note the apartment is up 2 flights of stairs with no elevator, so it’s not suitable for guests with mobility issues.
The Neighborhood:
Situated just 1.5 kilometres across the harbour from Sydney’s CBD (Downtown), Neutral Bay is an upmarket suburb known for its tranquil water views, some of which can be enjoyed from the apartment. It’s just a short walk to Military Road where you’ll find a great selection of shops, boutiques and eateries, as well as the Oaks Hotel, popular with locals for a drink, a game of pool or a meal in its massive beer garden (where you can cook your own steak if preferred). The Big Bear shopping centre is just 10 minutes stroll away, offering a Coles Supermarket and lots of other speciality shops. The Grosvenor Street eateries are just 15 minutes on foot and Sydney’s famous harbourside Taronga Zoo is 15 minutes by car.
Getting Around:
The apartment comes with an off-street parking space for 1 small-med sized vehicle, but there is also untimed street parking available. If you prefer public transport, regular bus services are available on nearby Military Road which will take you into the CBD in about half an hour. Walking is an option too, given the North Sydney business hub, outdoor swimming pool, Luna Park, and Milson’s Point ferry are all under 30 minutes away on foot. You can even walk to Sydney’s iconic Harbour Bridge in 25 minutes (and then walk across it!)
