Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The castle is being restored and I believe they have 5 rooms ready for guests. We were the only guests that night and it was a wonderful experience especially as we were there completely alone during horrendous storms. Our room was a delight, the interior design was very simple but with some authenticity. The bed was comfortable with lovely bedding and towels. We used the newly installed kitchen to cook our evening meal (after removing the packaging in the oven) and find our way around this beautiful professional area. The storm found its way into some of the windows and the power & lights went out but that just added to the authenticity of this exciting experience. The owners responded immediately we telephoned them and the power was quickly restored. We loved it & we would advise you to try it before it's completely restored and out of the financial range of many people.

Negative: It was a little tricky to find as there were 2 castles within 100 meters of each other and we went to the wrong one! Again. the owner responded straight away and found us and guided us to his pride and joy. I think we loved it as much as he does.

Summary: Staying in this castle was an amazing experience
