Located on 1.6 acres of land, Heron’s Cove is the perfect place to unplug with access to Lake Champlain from the backyard down a tended path. Kayaks, a row boat, and life jacks are provided!
20 minutes from Plattsburgh NY and 1 1/2 hours from Montreal and Burlington VT.

Built in 1908, the cottage gives a rustic cozy feel with original flooring, comfortable furniture, and views of the lake. We provide two kayaks, a row boat, and life jackets. There are two kayak/canoe trollies to help down the path. You are able to launch from the cove and will need to wade through the water a bit.
The spacious kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare a meal. There are local eateries and a Stewart's convenience store within a 3-5 mile drive, as well as a grocery store 15 minutes away.
Wifi and a smart tv is ready for you to use your Netflix, Hulu or any other subscription accounts.
Do you have a canine friend? We have a food & water bowl just for them!
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS: For outdoor enthusiasts Point Au Roche State Park is 7.5 miles from the house. It is a beautiful park with hiking/cross country skiing and biking trails. In the summer enjoy the beach and picnic area, equipped with grills and tables.
Guests are welcome to the whole house except the garage and supply closet.
I will have a caretaker to take care of any issues with the function of the house. I will be available via call or text during the hours if 7am to 9 pm. I will be available 24/7 for emergencies
Peaceful, quiet neighborhood And street. Long walks along the road bordering Lake Champlain a must.

** Our house runs off well water, however, we just installed a new top of the line water system with a drinking spout***
** We DO NOT have central air, however, there are a/c units in both queen bedrooms and fans for each room. The breeze from the lake cools the house off quickly.
**There will be firewood and kindling ready October through March. If there is wood leftover in the summer, feel free to use that for a bonfire!
House rules are in place as a necessity to maintain a clean home and on time check-ins for other guests. Added cleaning fees may apply for guests who do not follow our simple steps. FOR EXAMPLE:
** If you have an extra furry friend, please sweep or vacuum at least once during a short stay and twice during a longer stay.
** Must pick up after your furry friend relieves itself outside
** Rinse off kayaks, canoes, and life jackets before placing them back on the rack
