The Attic Backpackers is a clean, comfortable, safe and friendly backpackers, located in the heart of Auckland City. Just one street over from the iconic Skytower and a minute walk from the hustle and bustle of Queen street, our location could not be better !
Our top floor hostel features a popular large outdoor covered terrace, chill out spots, dining area, and an attached, well-equipped communal kitchen. The hostel is all on one floor and this makes it easy for guests to meet and interact in our social but not party environment. We offer large and small dorms as well as female only dorms, private single, double and twin rooms. Bed linen and free wifi is included in your rate.

Arrival and check-in/check-out details:
Attic's reception is open between 9 AM and 9 PM.
Check-in time is from 2.30 PM.
Guests can drop off bags in our bag room from 9 AM but need to leave the hostel and return at 2.30 PM for check-in.
If arriving in the middle of the previous night or early morning, please ensure you book the night prior and we can arrange immediate check-in for you.
It is possible to check-in after reception closes at 9 PM. We will send you an email with 'late arrival instructions' on the evening of your arrival day. Please use the free e.g. airport Wi-Fi to check for this information before arrival.
Check-out time is by 10 AM.
Please have packed all your belongings, collected all food from the kitchen and dropped off your key and pillow case at reception before 10 AM.
You will need to leave the hostel at 10 AM so our staff can clean and prepare the hostel for new guests arriving from 2:30 PM. Thank you for respecting this policy.
Guests can however still leave bags in our bag room until 4 PM but must leave the hostel at checkout time so that our onsite team can complete housekeeping and cleaning duties in time for new guests. We do offer a $20.00 day use charge (pay direct) so guests with early arrivals or late departures can use hostel common area facilities (around our cleaning regime) until 6 pm.
Cancellation Policy:
Any cancellations made within 72 hours will be charged 100%.

Please note there is 3% credit card fee on all credit or foreign cards.
Photo ID required. Either Driving license or International passport ONLY.
All guests must have a credit/debit card to stay at Attic which will be held on file as a bond and will be charged for lost keys, broken hostel rule fines or damage.
Guests aged 10+ accepted. Guests aged 10-18 must reserve/reside in private dormitories or private rooms (Double, Twin). Guests aged 10-18 will not be permitted to share dormitories with persons other than the members of their booking party. Guests aged 10-18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult (Aged 25+) at all times.
All guests are encouraged to keep the hostel safe and secure for fellow guests.
Attic is a social but not a party hostel and quiet time after 11 PM is requested in the hostel so other guests can sleep. As such, we do allow a social drink of BYO alcohol to be consumed on site but please consume responsibly, follow the House Rules and/or the requirements of Attic Team Members when prompted.
No curfew applies and there are plenty of local bars and entertainment areas nearby due to our CBD location.
