The Food Forest Cottage is a comfortable 3 bedroom cottage. It is located at the top of a hill overlooking the Tinui Food Forest, and the original homestead for what used to be one of the main farms in the area. The cottage is surrounded by trees, and the bird life is wonderful.
The Tinui Food Forest is set in 4 acres of mature food forest and provides a fun and educational adventure for the whole family to explore. Staying with us gives you open access to explore the food forest.
Lose yourself in the living willow maze! Sit in the hop tepee, or the other living willow furniture including the world first unique living willow chaise longue.
The friendly farm animals are always happy to meet up. Hand feed the alpaca and hang out with the goats, pigs (including Ralf and Peaches the kunekune pigs), cuddle with the goats, and check the chooks for eggs!
We also provide 2 hour guided walks around the food forest- that will need to be booked and paid for separately at Tinui Food Forest Guided Walk
We have Starlink fast internet provided and a 40inch TV set up with google chromecast.
The shared swimming pool is available for guests.
