Summary: Villa Becune was exactly what we were looking for. The photos are accurate and the home had everything we needed. A few of the things we appreciated were the A/C units in every room, comfortable beds, plenty of sitting areas, the pool and close proximity to both Pigeon Island Beach and The Royalton Beach. Royalton Beach was a short walk while Pigeon is much further. Locals at any beach are a little pushy but with a friendly approach they will eventually leave you alone. In fact, I will call them some of the friendliest I've encountered throughout the world. I point this out as I'm sure some are skeptical when booking something off the resorts. If driving to Pigeon Island Beach, I recommend taking a right out of the driveway unless you have a high clearance vehicle. The road eventually gets pretty rough if you turn left. However, it is a short-cut and the way I would walk if going to Pigeon Island. We liked the close proximity to the Massy Store and Duty Free in Rodney Bay, The Naked Fisherman is one of the best restaurants in the world, SeaSalt Restaurant was also very good. There is always a nervousness when traveling somewhere new, especially off the resort. In this case we are so glad we did. It was an amazing time filled culture, great food and a damn good time. My advice, book Villa Becune, you'll be glad you did. PS, take care of the cat we named Nala, she's so sweet.
