Welcome to our beautiful house in Ognen, near Karnobat. We hope you enjoy your stay! We have personally thought through all of the amenities and hope to provide you with all the comforts of home. The surrounding area has a lot to offer and is sure to make your holiday one of a kind.
The cottage is a perfect place to relax and offers amazing countryside views with nature, peace and tranquility on the doorstep. Situated off a quiet village road with no passing traffic.
The property is not a holiday home, it has been our home for 18 years. We would now like to share our Ognen cottage, and everything it has to offer whilst still living close by.
For stargazers, there is no light pollution.
Local walks, lakes, places of natural and historic interest all on the doorstep of the property.
Black Sea coast, Burgas, Sea gardens, within an hours drive.
Karnobat offers a hotel complex with restaurant and pool, a newly opened pool and restaurant in 2023, plus 2 large supermarkets. August 2024 will see the addition of Lidl in Karnobat.
Minkov Brothers winery is with 20 minutes of the house and local vineyards are in abundance. Wooded walks and lavender fields are on the doorstep.
Aytos, Sliven, Kotel, Jeravna, and many other local towns and villages all offer Bulgarian hospitatility, cafes, restaurants and local produce.
As a self-catering house, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay.
The kitchen has a fridge, a hob, an oven, a kettle, a small freezer and a microwave.
Please note the property does not have a television or dvd player.
The cottage offers unique BBQ facilities built within a Trabant car engine bay.
The rear patio has Dining table and chairs for al fresco dining, sunrise breakfasts and evening entertaining.
Front patio with wicker padded seating from where you can watch the sunsets and relax away the evenings.
Fire pit for chilled evenings (summer fire hazard restrictions in place July and August), and a working well, with security cover for safety.

Winter bookings
The cottage is accessible by a small unmade road. If there is heavy rain or snow, access to the cottage is restricted and an assessment would need to be made as to whether cars must be parked on the main road and the cottage accessed on foot for the final 100 metres.
In severe snow conditions the village cannot be accessed.
The cottage has 1 bedroom and can comfortably sleep upto 4 guests with flexible sleeping arrangements.
In the main bedroom, you will find a double bed.
In the living room there is a double sofa bed.
There are no single beds available at the property.
There is 1 large bathroom with a walk in shower, sink, and toilet.
Linen and towels are all included to make your stay more enjoyable.
Car hire recommended.

House Rules:
- Check-in time is 2pm and check-out is 11am. Flexible on request.
- Smoking is not allowed inside the property.
- There are on-site parking facilities available at the property.
- Pets are allowed at the property. Please advise if you wish to bring your pet(s).
Sadly we are not allowing children to stay at the cottage when booking online. This is due to recent damage to our home and garden.
The property has external CCTV for everyone's protection.
