You can do shopping in Dornum (3km) with supermarkets (Edeka, Aldi, Netto…), a pharmacy, a bakery, banks etc. There is a wider choice of shops in Norden, Esens and of course Aurich or Emden. The nearest larger towns are Hage (10km), Norden (15km), Norddeich (20km), Aurich (25km) and it is also worth seeing Jever (40km), Emden (45km) and Wilhelmshaven (60km), as well as the seal sanctuary in Norddeich, the seawater outdoor pool in Dornumersiel, the golf course at Schloss Lütetsburg, Ocean Wave leisure pool (Norddeich) etc.
