De andere kant op het bruisende Harderwijk, waar niet alleen de nieuwe boulevard, de Vischmarkt en het centrum een bezoekje waard zijn, maar ook het fraai gelegen strandeiland met Walhalla. Hier kunt u in een soort buitenlandse sfeer genieten van een hapje, drankje en bij helder weer een prachtige zonsondergang. Richting het oosten ligt Kasteel Staverden, bij het kleinste stadje van Nederland (Staverden). Hier vindt u o.a. de eeuwenoude en locaal beroemde witte pauwen, een giant Sequoia-boom en de brasserie. Deze is ook zeker een aanrader voor een hapje en drankje.
Steden zoals Amsterdam, Utrecht, Amersfoort en Zwolle liggen allemaal binnen maximaal een uurtje autorijden van Ermelo. Zo is Ermelo een prima uitvalsbasis voor allerlei verschillende activiteiten!
