This is a fine example of a classically restored Maltese property. A spiral staircase joins all 3 levels with walls adorned in art from local artist Elena Merlina. The uppermost level - the artist loft - extends out to a private terrace - which provides the perfect setting for a glass of wine and sunset over the harbor.
The main floor has the charm. Kitchen, dining, small terrace, full bathroom, and a large bedroom with a queen bed. A secluded alcove under the staircase provides the perfect location for reading or a quick nap.
The middle floor has the second bedroom with a queen size bed and a large opening window. Both bedrooms are very quiet as no one lives above and each have large opening windows onto a walking street below. The landing of this floor has the inspiring view of vaulted walls circling the staircase. If you are an art lover this is a place of inspiration.
Your host Elena has taken great care to provided beautiful warm lighting throughout the apartment. Staircases and beds all have indirect lighting to create a relaxed and welcoming environment.
All rooms are air conditioned - yet most will find the house is cool and dry with just natural airflow.
The front private entrance is easily accessed from street level with temporary unloading right at the door. From the entrance a set of stairs takes you up to the main floor. It's worth noting that this apartment provides free exercise in stair climbing :) It's not recommended for mobility limited guests.
The location is in the heart of the historic Three cities area - very well known for it's scenic walking routes and amazing architecture. All amenities are close and within walking distance, and of special note is the proximity to the Valletta Ferry. A few minutes walk to the terminal and a 5 minute boat ride and you are in the heart of Valletta - very convenient.
The airport is also a convenient 15 minute driving distance.
