But there are many more options. For example, you can take a bicycle shuttle (starts 300 m from the house) to Daun in the Eifel and cycle past the romantic maars and castles on one of the most beautiful cycle paths in Germany, a former railway line, back to the Moselle, it's fine almost a glide. This direction is for leisure cyclists, the opposite for sporty cyclists.
There are numerous hiking trails around Bernkastel-Kues. An absolutely fantastic route with dream views leads over the heights from Bernkastel to Traben-Trarbach. From there you can take the boat back to Bernkastel.
